Get the Look

I do not usually drink coffee but when hubby dragged me to the coffee shop, I had no choice but to go! Although, secretly, I always want to go to have some of their yummy specials, like the cookies and cream frozen coffee I had. It was like 500 calories but who cares?! Haha               Anyways it was a pretty relaxing day, so I wore a very casual outfit, but always giving the look a “je ne sais quoi” by wearing some of my favorite accessories so the whole look is not so “basic”. 😛 This time I had to switch my usual distressed pair of jeans to a pair of distressed denim shorts because…well,  it was  a beautiful hot sunny day. Paired the shorts with a cute grey muscle tee (grey is always one of my go to colors for tops), a fedora hat, my newest glittery Princetown slippers, and last but not least one of my favorite Gucci bags (mini Marmont).

Off the Shoulder Shirt

If you are a Zara lover like me, you already know that the skirt and shirt I am wearing are completely sold out! But… do not despair… keep reading! 🙂

I had ordered this top when it first became available, but it fit a bit too tight so I, sadly, had to return it. You wouldn’t believe how happy I was to find a larger size in the sale section during my trip to Jersey. It was the only one and I just had to have it! (Continue to check the sale section, you may be in luck!).

Certainly my decision did not make everybody happy, I had a couple of girls watching me like a hawk to see if I decided to leave the top, so I am pretty sure they were a bit disappointed I did not.

If you also missed out on this very coveted top, I found some other ones that, I know they are not the same, but still fit the trend. And the sixth option, the green and white top with ruffles, is my absolute favorite!

Get the Look: Cute Summer Dresses

You know I am a denim kind of girl, I could live in jeans and white tees everyday, but as the weather gets hotter I do like wearing dresses once in a while. I mean, it is hot and I have to shave anyway, so why not put on a cute dress in a fun shape and print like this one from Zara.

I love this wrap dress because the fabric is very light and the shape is very flattering. This is a type of dress that makes every woman look great because it accentuates all the right spots.  It gives you a nice looking cleavage, a smaller waist, and hides anything else you do not want to show from below the belly!

Unfortunately, I do not see this Zara dress available in the US site anymore but it may still be available in stores. Therefore, I am sharing with you some other cute options I found!

Get the Look: Lace-up Mules

As a new blogger, I now often find myself thinking about topics to write about for my blog. And even though I am willing to try new ideas, I mostly enjoy giving insight into the items in my closet that I love and hope my readers do too. So today is no exception!

A few months ago I purchased these lace-up mules from Sam Edelman. I was excited to get them right before summer started because I knew this trend was going to be big, just like last year… Flat, mid heel, high heel… there were mules everywhere! This year these Sam Edelman mules, however, had the lace-up feature, which make them different from last year’s mules and much more special in my eyes. They are comfortable and fit true to size.

Gucci Marmont Bags

There’s no doubt that Gucci bags are hot and we are all dying to get our hands on them. However, there is a puzzling question that always comes up when we finally decide on a color, and that is…”What size should I get?!”

It is really difficult to come up with an answer when there are so many options to choose from. There is a maxi, medium, small, mini and now a super mini! Looking through all the #guccimatmont pictures on Instagram does not really help either because all the bags look amazing! The reality is that it may take you a day or two to decide if you are as indecisive as me! :p

Let me begin by saying that Marmont bags are one of my favorite styles and here are the reasons why:

  • I like the flap and GG logo on the front
  • I prefer the leather ones because they seem to be very durable and require less “care”. I’m not saying that the velvet or satin ones are not durable, but those materials require a lot more TLC, which in my opinion can be really annoying!
  • You can wear them as shoulder bags or crossbody, depending on your preference. The super mini has a chain shoulder strap that can be removed so it can also be worn as a clutch!
  • And BIG NEWS, despite their size, they are all very spacious, with the exception of the super mini, which I find tiny (6.5″W x 4″H x 1.5″D).

It should be no brainer, pick whatever size you feel more comfortable wearing. I tend to buy smaller bags nowadays, for no specific reason at all, I just love them!

I own the Marmont bag in sizes small (10.25″W X 6″H X 2.75″D) and mini (8.5″W x 5″H x 2.5″D), but if you ask me, the mini is my favorite! ❤

Here wearing the mini Marmont in teal velvet and pink leather.

Both small and mini sizes can hold about the same amount of stuff. In my small Marmont I can usually fit a longer wallet, keys, sunglasses case, phone, charger and lip balm and maybe a small snack. 😛 To be able to fit all those items in the mini I would have to leave the sunglasses case and use a smaller wallet instead. Everything else would be the same. In my opinion, both the mini and small Marmont look very similar in size!

However, I you want the Marmont to be your everyday bag, I definitely recommend getting the medium size (12.25″W X 7.5″H X 2.75″D) so you do not have to worry about selecting what to bring in it.

Here wearing the small Marmont in light blue leather, black/ pearls, and fuchsia velvet.

So far I have no complaints about my Marmont leather bags. My only issue, when it comes to the velvet ones, is that you have to be very careful about how you store them so the chain does not leave any marks on the velvet. I do baby my velvet bags around and gives me anxiety just to think that they will someday get stained. My first velvet bag was the fuchsia and ended up selling it because I could not deal with the stress of taking care of it. Sadly, I have regretted it ever since! It has been a while since that and now I am willing to bear with that stress because the velvet bags are so pretty and the new designs are just to die for!!!

So Gucci lovers what do you love about the Marmont bag?

And those of you who have not made up your mind about getting one, would you buy it? 😉

Clear Vinyl Shoes

Did your mom ever say that clear shoes were not appropriate for proper girls like you? When in reality all you wanted to do was to be like Cinderella and find a Prince Charming to softly put that clear shoe on your foot and love you for ever and ever?!

Well, dear moms and grandmas, I have to inform you that in 2017 clear shoes are “IN” and all of us pretty ladies, who are not roaming the streets, can wear them!!! 😀

These clear shoes are definitely more accessible to everybody thanks to the more modern and trendy designs that come in chunky heels as well as flats, or in really cool cylindrical and rectangular heels. These shoes are great for summer and my favorite aspect of these is that they can be paired with everything without having to worry about matching, because they are clear!!!

When doing my research I found that there are few names to refer to the shoes depending on the material they are made of, and those are: clear, vinyl, and PVC some with lucite/perspex (translucent) or regular heels.

To save you the work I have links to some of my favorite finds, just click on the numbers below. Unfortunately, my shoes are already sold out but you can always visit Zara here for other options.

Screenshot_20170717-183526My absolute favorite find was the first option. Here is a zoomed image for the Jeffrey Campbell clear shoes<3 very affordable and good quality.

I do have to say that the only downside to most of these clear strappy shoes, in my opinion, is that the heels are over 3 inches tall. Yeah I am such a baby! I personally prefer wearing shoes with heels 3 inches or lower… you know, I want my knees to serve me for at least 65 more years, if I get to live to 100!

Al jokes aside, if I find more options with lower heels I will make sure to share them with you!

So what do you think of this clear shoe trend, would you buy it?! 🙂

Culotte Pants

Culottes, you either love them or hate them!

I personally love wearing these types of pants because they are so comfortable that you may think you are still wearing your PJ’s!  I love them in every length, especially the ones that hit above the ankle. Those, in my opinion, are universally flattering on everybody, even on short girls like me! Although, I do think that I need to style these longer pants with a heel or platform so the look is not too sloppy. Otherwise the shorter versions look great with flats as well.

In this occasion, I am wearing a pair that is that baggy, so it almost looks like a skirt. Even though I like wearing more fitted styles, there is just something about these baggy culottes that I, surprisingly, love so much! I am not sure if it is the softness of the fabric, the fun print, or just the very casual and hippie vibe they give me, but I feel liberated when I wear them.

Culotte pants can be worn throughout the whole year! If you are new to this style, buying a pair in a solid color or denim would be a good idea. During the spring and summer they can be styled with flat shoes, heels, and sandals, while later on you can transition into the cold weather by adding knee high boots or booties. They are really so versatile!

So, what do you think about culotte pants? Would you buy them? 😛
